i think there should be chat, just like when you are playing the game, on the character select and loading screens beacause when i have to go somewhere quick and someone is saying something to me i miss it and theyre all like why didnt you answer? so i think it is a good idea.

step 1. Login it's not that hard

you do reccieve chat during loading, atleast I do, learn how to scroll and block local/trade chat, it's not that hard either.

hmmm......so your saying as im picking my character I can talk in local with a certain character in a certian town, then click on another character on the screen and do the same thing in a diffrent place?

You cant chat while loading an are,impossible, or major glitches

When in the loading screen, I do get whispers, and other messages, so I don't find this a problem.
Also, obviously, while switching characters, you're not logged in and therefore cannot talk. Also, in the character selection, do you really take that long to the point where someone sends you 5 messages?
Yeah sure, you miss a message, not like it's going to kill you, unless if was for like $10,000. But still, it's not like that person can't send you another message unless if they decided to write a story which they can't because there's a word limit. It's happened to me before, I message someone, they don't get the message. Eh, I type it again.

I do notreceive chat messages while the 'connecting' part of the loading screen.

I think that at least that shold be fixed, making the messages 'wait' for you to end to connect.
